Minggu gets into his 5 series…

Having to spent months recuperating from chronic gout last year, Minggu Simon Lhasa would obviously be in a jovial mood as he celebrates his 50th birthday today.
Last year he celebrated his birthday in his hometown Sibu – the first time in 20 years,  after he was hospitalised in June.
His movement were limited and had to used a wheelchair to move around.
But he has since recovered and came back to work at Bernama News Channel (BNC).
He thanked well-wishers and related his feelings on Facebook.
“Thank you for all the birthday wishes.
How time goes by very fast.
Now half a century gone.
All kind of memories suddenly flash in front as I recall those years past.
There have been a few times close calls but hey today I am still standing.
The untold scandals, the adventures, the good and bad days.
Ahhhh 3650 days and I will be a pensioner.
How all those naughty friends now became the best fathers and mothers.
All secrets forever locked.
All have been memories to be treasured in the future when this body unable to look for new adventures.
Well this just the ramblings of a happy man who despite challenges managed to past half century milestone.
How long more I don’t care.
Whatever remaining days ahead are my bonus.”
