A
meeting was held this afternoon with the soil and boring/piling consultants
involved in the project next to our building.
They
assured us that Bernama’s foundation is strong and safe.
This
is because we are sitting on top of a hard foundation.
The
vibrations are the result of the knock-on effects whenever they bore or pile
because of the hard foundation.
They
said the ongoing works will last for the next six months.
Nevertheless
we have asked them to install tilt and sinking markers in our building for us
to detect any changes.
Should
there be any drastic change, they will be summoned to do the necessary.
They
assured us that our building is safe despite the vibrations.
I
will ask our Jabatan Harta to liaise with Unit Foto to take pictures of our
building tomorrow and have a time & date proof for the pictures.
We
are also evaluating the need for our own consultants as added comfort for the
safety of our Wisma Bernama.
