Standing up for Gaza…

Thousands of  Malaysians thronged Dataran Merdeka in the federal capital today in support of the "Save the Children of Gaza' rally.
Organised  by two NGOs, Viva Palestina Malaysia (VPM) and Aqsa Syarif, the three-hour peaceful rally was to protest the continued Israeli- violence against the Palestinians.
The two organisations will send a memorandum to the American and the Egyptian embassies on Monday.
They are also urging Egypt to fully open Rafah border crossing to enable them to channel more aid to the Palestinians. Aqsa Syarif, VPM and several foreign NGOs had lined-up 23 trucks of medicine and surgical materials worth RM2.5 million for Gaza.
The memorandum includes urging America to stop Israel from attacking the innocent Palestinians. The  latest Israeli onslaught  has killed over 1,400 Palestinians mostly innocent women and children.

The Tel Aviv regime had also targeted public utilities in Gaza including hospitals, schools and over 10,000 houses.
A Bernama source in Gaza said he was fine “but  things are so bad”.
“My sister’s house was evacuated, it is good so far and thanks very much for being kind with me…just pray for us please,” he said in a Facebook chat this evening.
“Humanity is killed in Gaza,” he said of the Israeli aggression including cutting off electricity supply.
“We are holding up, we believe Israel will be forced to lift the blockade
“Please onpass my regards to all Bernama friends,” he said.

When told of a Bernama story today denying Israeli propaganda that Hamas members were trained in Malaysia, he said:
“Yeah I know about this fake story…they just do not like to see you supporting us.”
In its press statement on the Israeli false accusation to Malaysia,  Hamas, which administers the densely populated Gaza, said:

With regards to the false reports that were published by several Israeli media outlets which claimed that Hamas members were trained in Malaysia on carrying out parachute attacks, we comment the following:
These lies are a sort of media misleading created by Israeli intelligence and aim at distorting the image of growing International solidarity with our People and just cause, at the time that we are facing war crimes and massacres by the Zionist war machine.
Hamas movement firmly denies these Israeli unfounded accusations, and stresses the following:
First: These Israeli lies will neither succeed in distorting the image of the support and solidarity adopted by Malaysian government and people, nor affecting the Malaysian stance that rejects the Israeli aggression and terrorism.
Second: Hamas highly appreciates and values the brave stance and the humanitarian support carried out by Malaysia at the official and popular levels, and its stand by the side of Palestinian people and their rights.
Third: The Israeli creation of such accusations is an attempt to divert the attention from the ongoing massacres and genocide committed by the Israeli army against the Palestinian civilians, children, women and elderly.
Forth: It's the noble duty of the Ummah and the free world to offer all possible support to the Palestinian people in facing the occupier, as it's the right of the Palestinians to search for all possible means to face the Israeli occupation and counter its aggression, which is guaranteed by international laws and conventions.
