An efficient media centre has become an important
component to ensure the success of major international events and summits.
It would enable pressmen to carry out their work with
ease while the events get good coverage and the desired impact.
The 4th Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2013 (4th GES
2013) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, yesterday and today, is no
exception.
Already a ‘veteran’ in providing such expertise, Bernama
was entrusted with the setting-up and managing the International Media Centre
(IMC) for GES 2013.
The media centre provides adequate working space,
communication facilities and other related media services to meet the
requirements of all accredited journalists, broadcasters and photographers.
Run by Bernama Media Relations & Event
Management (MREM) Division, the media
centre began operating from October 9 and
cease operations tomorrow. The operating hours were from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Bernama was also tasked with providing media
accreditation for journalists, photographers
and broadcasters covering the event.
Some 630 media representatives from local and foreign
media organisations were given accreditation as Bernamaians involved with the
summit kept the Bernama flag flying high..
The 4th GES 2013 ended with a resounding round of
approval from the entrepreneurial community with a total of 4,711 delegates
from 123 countries attending.
The event saw a total of 105 speakers from 26 countries
delivering presentations and holding discussions.
The summit was organised by the Finance Ministry under
the patronage of the Prime Minister.
