off yesterday with South Korean President Park Geun-Hye saying that it was a
perfect venue to discuss global cooperation in facing the future path of
cyberspace.
Addressing some 1,000 representatives from 90 countries
and international and regional organisations, she said the room of cyberspace
was continuing to grow and exposes a growing threat.
The two-day conference themed "Global Prosperity
through an Open and Secure Cyberspace: Opportunities, Threats and
Cooperation" is organised by the South Korean Foreign Ministry at the
Convention and Exhibition Centre (COEX).
It is the third such conference after London in 2011 and
Budapest, Hungary, in 2012.
The participants include 40 ministers and deputy
ministers and representatives from the International Telecommunications Union
(ITU) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
