'Malaysiaku Berdaulat: Tanah Tumpahnya Darahku"

Fantastic display of patriotism…colourful and meaningful,” says an arm-chair viewer via Bernama ED-Team WhatsApp at the end of the Merdeka Day parade shown live on television.
Emotional, too! Consolidates your belief that there’s no place else like Malaysia, tanah tumpahnya darahku,” adds General News Service English subsdesk editor M.Govindnair.
"Yes, the sun shone brightly for Malaysia this morning. Good omen! Should augur well for the next 365 days and more," said General Manager Datuk Yong Soo Heong in his tweet after attending the grand event at Merdeka Square.
Earlier while watching the parade, he tweeted: "Tanah Tumpah Darahku is captivating war cry song. 'Muhibah' sung in various languages so apt for 1Malaysia.My thoughts from Dataran Merdeka."
"Met some British soldiers who fought in the armed insurgency in Malaysia. One from Ireland came back for first time after 50 years.
"One British war veteran in his 70s told me this at today's Merdeka parade. "THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL & WONDERFUL COUNTRY, KEEP IT THAT WAY."
Ketua Pengarang Datuk Zulkefli Salleh turut memberikan pandangan: “Sambutan di Dataran Merdeka menafikan sangkaan bahawa rakyat kurang patriotik. Ia mengobarkan semangat patriotism dan menyatupadukan jiwa dan perasaan rakyat berbilang kaum. Seperti kata PM ia meremangkan bulu roma!!!”
