As we moved on after
watching a gallant Malaysian team holding fancied FC Barcelona to a slim score,
what can be learnt from the game?
“Individual contributions
and teamwork
“Each player was special.
They brought with them special skills to the ground
“Then they teamed up…Even
the lovely Malaysian goal was due to team work and individual flair and skills,”
said General Manager Datuk Yong Soo Heong, who was among 45,000 spectators at
the Shah Alam Stadium last night.
The same could be said for
Bernama, he said in response to the question on Bernama-ED Team this morning.
“We all have our individual
skills and talents
“Together we make Bernama
stronger than we can do it all alone
“We should discard this
notion of "I better let my superior
handle the matter because he or she earns more than me"... if we can do it
within our means, why not?”
To this, Editor-in-Chief Datuk Zulkefli Salleh said he could not agree
more with Datuk Yong.
Deputy Editor-in-Chief (General
News Service) Datuk Zakaria Wahab,
joined in the conversation, hoping that the spirit could be embraced by those handling
Bernama's twitter.
“Keep on updating and not
regarding it as somebody else's job. Teamwork! Teamwork! Teamwork!
“Frankly, I'm still not
happy with the updating of Bernama's twitter by our guys tasked to it. Still
there are lapses for a couple of hours! That's not twittering! All must
remember that the twitter belongs to Bernama! Its one of Bernama's future media
platform! And its reach now is getting far and wide! My one piring of laksa
worth of comment!,” he said.
