The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) today inked two Memoranda of Agreement (MoA) to formalise cooperation with the Anadolu Agency (AA), Turkey and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), in various aspects, including exchange of information and content.
Under the agreements, the agencies agreed to among others guarantee the exchange of news relevant to their domains of activity through the internet.
Bernama will grant the AA and VNA the use of its English newscast in their service and vice versa.

Each party has the right to use those news items and supply them to their subscribers on condition that the content and reference to the source are maintained.
The MoA were signed by Bernama General Manager Datuk Zulkefli Salleh and VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Lor while Head of International Relations Department, Ercan Gocer, represented the AA.
In addition, the Bernama-VNA has also agreed to an exchange of high-level visits, provide technical assistance as well as expand each other's operations at international forums such as the Organisation of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) and other international organisations for news agencies.

The two signing ceremony were held in conjunction with the 38th OANA Executive Board Meeting hosted by Bernama.
Besides the two MoA, Zulkefli also held discussion with South Korea's Yonhap Managing Director Oh Jae-seok, whose agency is keen to forge closer ties with Bernama.

Yonhap will host the 39th OANA EBIM in Seoul in November.
