Various reporting possibilities...

Education, Automotive, Science and Health are among favoured reporting beats of  young Bernama journalists if given the chance.
Some also mentioned tourism, women and family issues and entertainment when they were asked to state areas they would like to cover in their daily work.
The beats could eventually be developed into reporting desks to boost Bernama’s general news coverage.
Currently the General News Service has specialized reporters for crime, court and sports desks.
The views were expressed during the half-day course on “Various Reporting” at the Centre of Excellence, Wisma Bernama this morning.
The session conducted by Deputy Editor-in-Chief for International News Service Ahmad Zukiman Zain  is part of the Bernama School of Journalism programme.
Under the  in-house training initiative, senior journalists are given topics to enable them to share their knowledge and experience with fellow Bernama journalists especially new intakes.
"Various Reporting" discussed the wide-range of reporting from personality write-ups to trend, lifestyle, and charity newswriting.
It also highlighted areas that could be explored such as education, health, transportation, defence and delivery system.
