No more sad story from Petronas …

Petronas festive TV commercials are something Malaysians look forward to. Normally depicting on cultural, family values and long-forgotten tradition, the commercials can easily touch the hearts of viewers.
Some even shed tears watching the commercials that were shown during festive celebrations – Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali and even Gawai.
With Hari Raya Aidilfitri to be celebrated in slightly more than a month’s time, many are waiting to see what sad story Petronas would highlight this year.
“You won’t see sad story anymore,” said Petronas Senior General Manager for Group Strategic Communications Liz Kamaruddin who led a five-member team on a visit to Bernama today.
Festive celebrations should be joyful, happy occasions and not to dwell on sadness.
The coming Hari Raya commercial will again highlight the tagline “Reflect on yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow”
The tagline was used in the Chinese New Year TV commercial “Young Hearts” which highlighted the essence of the celebration.
“The most important is to tell a story about our social cohesion, what makes us united as a society,” said Liz, who joined Petronas seven months ago from Standard Chartered.
General Manager Datuk Yong Soo Heong briefed the visitors about Bernama at the boardroom.
They later visited the newsroom, Bernama Foto, Bernama Radio24, Bernama TV and NAM (Non-aligned Movement) News Network (NNN), run by Bernama.
The visit to Bernama is part of their media engagement.
