BERNAMA, MAMPU Collaborate To Develop Editorial System

The Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) has  signed an Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Consultancy Project Charter with the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) to develop an Integrated Editorial Management System.
The system aims to improve the editorial work quality in the fields of journalism and broadcasting, in line with BERNAMA's core function.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Joseph Entulu Belaun said its implementation would allow BERNAMA to channel information and news to the people faster and more accurately.
"The system will also boost BERNAMA's image as a world-class news agency," he said at the signing charter in Putrajaya today.
The Charter was signed by MAMPU director-general Datuk Omar Kaseh and BERNAMA General Manager Datuk Yong Soo Heong. BERNAMA chairman Datuk Abdul Rahman Sulaiman was present.

MAMPU will provide consultancy services to BERNAMA on ICT system development and technical aspects through the cooperation.
The consultancy offered covers two phases, the first being Technical System Specification Development whereby MAMPU will provide a Business Requirement Specification and tender specifications for the system.
The second phase is System Development in which MAMPU will implement quality assurance for analysis, system development and design, security, project management and network design and hardware.
