Ramadan ties ...

DRB-HICOM Berhad top brass gathered at Wisma Bernama this evening for the breaking of fast with Bernamaians.
Led by its Group Managing Director Tan Sri Haji Mohd Khamil Jamil, the visitors were met on arrival by General Manager Datuk Yong Soo Heong, who briefed them on Bernama's operations.

While acknowledging the on-going cooperation between the two sides, Datuk Yong suggested ways that Bernama could further publicise the conglomerate, given its diverse activities.

Being one of Malaysia’s leading companies, the company is involved in automotive manufacturing and distribution, property development and construction, and services.
Datuk Yong quipped that we could get DRB-HICOM to construct a multi-level steel car park at the present site opposite Wisma Bernama when we get the clearance from relevant authorities.
The visitors later took a closer look of Radio Bernama 24 on the 15th floor, the audio-visual studio on the third floor and the newsroom on the 1st floor.
Representatives of its various subsidiaries also attended the breaking of fast on the 10th floor followed by Maghrib prayer.
Earlier in the day, a high-level team from Angkasa, the national cooperative movement apex body,  visited Bernama to enhance friendly ties in the spirit of Ramadan.
Angkasa President Datuk Abdul Fattah Abdullah, his deputy Mutadho Bahri and vice-president Kamaruddin Ismail were received by Deputy Editor-in-Chief (General News Service) Datuk Zakaria Wahab.
They brought along 1,000 boxes of selected dates-on-stalk for distribution among Bernama staff.
"The dates-on-stalk is symbolic of our close ties," says an Angkasa official.
