Bubur lambuk offering ...

As a pleasant Ramadan act of generosity, Bernama joined hands with Kesatuan Pekerja-pekerja Bernama (KPPB) to distribute 1,000 packets of bubur lambuk to Bernama staff and a nearby orphanage.
The rice porridge was ordered from the famous Kampung Baru mosque, which has a reputation of providing  among the best bubur lambuk  in the country during the month-long Ramadan.
Programme coordinator Hanafiah Omar said the Corporate Communications Division had worked closely with KPPB to hand out the food.
“We decided to use chicken for the porridge so that every staff can get a chance to taste it,” he said.
“800 packets were given out to Bernama staff, 120 for an orphanage at Tasik Titiwangsa and the remaining 80 for our next-door neighbour, the library staff,” he said.
With its usefulness as a unifying factor, Hanafiah hopes bubur lambuk offering will serve as a Bernama tradition in the coming years.
