A timely reminder ...

"Saturdays are great to spend with family & friends. If you happen to be working today, hopefully you will get the chance to do so later." -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak tweeted this morning.
In our daily lives,  we often ignore things that we consider petty but are important to our loved ones.
Thus the PM's reminder is timely for many of us who complain of having not enough time to build relationships within the home because of  so-called  hectic work demands.
There are many ways we can bond with our families and friends --  from having meals together to free-and-easy outings.
The joy of being together and doing things that could "drive away your blues" is good not just for the individual but the family and eventually for the organisation.
In this respect, the initiative of Bernama Kids 1 Malaysia Club (BK1MC) to hold a breaking of fast treat  for children from an orphanage on Saturday, July 27 is highly commendable.
The event will enable us to share the blessings of Ramadan in our humble way to reach out to the needy as a corporate social responsibility.
Apart from its members, the BK1MC organising committee is inviting Bernamaians to join the orphans from Rumah Anak Yatim, Taman Putra Permai, Seri Kembangan, Puchong for the “buka puasa”.
