Malaysia has become the Arab
people's preferred destination for education, training and visits,
according to the director of Baghdad's Capital Voice Radio, Anwar Faedel
Al Sudani.
She said Arabs were attracted to Malaysia, given the various measures
undertaken by the government to promote the nation as a centre of
excellence for education.
"These include establishing Malaysia as a higher education mobility hub for international students," she said.
Anwar had led a delegation of 24 members of the Iraqi media from the
Baghdad Municipal Council on a visit to the Malaysian National News
Agency, Bernama, here, today.
She said they were here as part of a training workshop on 'Developing
Media Skills' organised by a private training centre from Jan 6 to 17.
The delegation visited Radio24, the NAM News Network, the Bernama
Centre of Excellence, Bernama's Editorial Department and BernamaTV.
Anwar noted that their visit came at the right time when Malaysia had
just kicked off the Visit Malaysia Year 2014 (VMY2014) celebration.
