The Malaysian National News Agency
(Bernama), will launch "Malaysia eBiz", a weekly business bulletin on
its news portal to provide a round-up of selected business news.
Bernama General Manager Datuk Yong Soo Heong said the newspaper format
of eBiz, will provide a handy and quick reference for those keen to have
a grasp of what was happening on the local business and economic
development scene during the week.
The eBiz, set to go "live" tomorrow (January 10), is produced in English by the news
agency's portal division in collaboration with the editorial
department.
The bulletin comprises two segments, a Weekly Roundup and Market
Outlook, which will include events, announcements, market reports and
analyses.
The Weekly Roundup is a 10-page summary of selected business news
including current issues and developments that are of interest to the
business community, investors, professionals and even consumers. This
segment will be uploaded after 7.30 pm every Friday.
Market Outlook contains four pages of reports and analyses on interest
rates, stocks, foreign exchange, commodity markets including crude palm
oil, rubber, tin and gold futures, which will be released after 12.30 pm
every Saturday.
Yong said the eBiz would keep readers up-to-date with the compilation
of key business developments in an easy-to-read format as part of the
national news agency's transformation and quest for greater monetisation
of its services.
"To cater for the greater mobility of people these days and to access
information from wherever they are, Malaysia eBiz is also available on
smartphones and tablets," he added.
