Sudanese journalists attend media training at Bernama...

Nine journalists from the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) are participating in a five-day Media Training for SUNA organised by the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA), beginning today.
BERNAMA General Manager, Datuk Zulkefli Salleh said the participants would be attending in-class training on various media platforms in BERNAMA, including television, radio and multimedia.
He said they would also learn, experience and exchange information with BERNAMA in managing the new media revolution which had been growing in many countries.
"Universally, social media has caused a lot of problems to governments of the day as individuals in society want to be a journalist, which led to unethical practice of journalism, thus creating a lot of confusion by false information.
"Through this course, we hope BERNAMA and SUNA can share and exchange experiences on how to manage social media and at the same time, we hope by working closely with Sudanese journalists, we can contribute in strengthening bilateral relations with them," he said after attending a briefing with the visiting journalists at Wisma BERNAMA here today.
