Bernama
journalist Rosyatimah Tukimin died early today after a long battle with cancer.
She was 53.
Rosyatimah
passed away at 1.35 am at the Putrajaya Hospital where she was being treated
for pneumonia.
Her remains were buried at the Taman Raidhaul Jannah Muslim Cemetery in Kampung Sungai
Limau Manis, Sungai Merab, Kajang, Selangor, at 10.30 am.
Rosyatimah
leaves behind husband Muhammad Husni Mohd Jazri, 54, and two sons, Muhammad
Ikhsan, 23, and Muhammad Ikhwan, 18.
After
completing her studies in mass communication at the then Mara Institute of
Technology (ITM), Rosyatimah joined The Star newspaper as a reporter on the
features desk in 1985.
In
2002, she joined Bernama and worked as a sub-editor at the International Desk.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief (International News Service) Ahmad Zukiman Zain
described the late Rosyatimah as a dedicated and hard-working colleague who was
passionate about her work and family.
Massita
Ahmad, assistant editor with the Bernama Economic News Service, in extending
her condolences to the family, said: “Rosyatimah was a fighter and her smile
and fighting spirit will always be missed.”
