BERNAMA Masih Sumber Rujukan: Jailani

Timbalan Menteri Komunikasi dan Multimedia Datuk Jailani Johari yakin berita daripada Pertubuhan Berita Nasional Malaysia (Bernama) masih menjadi sumber berita utama media arus perdana dan media baharu.
Beliau berkata sebagai asas utama sumber berita, Bernama juga menjadi peneraju utama kepada laporan-laporan serta isu penting, selain berita rasmi kerajaan.
"Walaupun wujudnya banyak media baharu, orang ramai tetap akan merujuk kepada Bernama untuk laporan rasmi dan sebenar dan saya sendiri juga merujuk kepada laporan Bernama," katanya.
Beliau berkata demikian semasa mengadakan kunjungan ke pejabat Biro Bernama Terengganu di Jalan Sultan Sulaiman di Kuala Terengganu.
Untuk memastikan Bernama kekal sebagai agensi berita utama negara, beliau berkata ia perlu membuat laporan yang lebih pantas dan tepat berhubung beberapa peristiwa penting.
Beliau memberi jaminan kementerian bersedia untuk menambah baik kemudahan dan keperluan para pemberita dan jurugambar Bernama sama ada di ibu pejabat mahu pun di biro-biro seluruh negara.

Lawatan Menteri di JPM dan MAMPU ...














Dalam sidang media sempena lawatan itu, Datuk Joseph Entulu berkata kerajaan mampu menjimatkan hampir setengah bilion ringgit setahun melalui pengoptimum perkhidmatan gunasama dalam portal Pusat Latihan 1Malaysia (1MTC).
Jangkaan penjimatan itu adalah berdasarkan pemantauan Unit Permodenan Tadbiran dan Perancangan Pengurusan Malaysia (Mampu) yang mendapati penggunaan institut latihan awam (ILA) yang berdaftar di bawah 1MTC berjaya mengurangkan kos perbelanjaan kerajaan kepada RM11.26 juta seminggu.
Katanya, 1MTC telah bertindak sebagai repositori yang mengumpulkan semua maklumat berkaitan kursus dan fasiliti yang terdapat di ILA di seluruh negara.
Sejak ditubuhkan pada Mac 2012, terdapat 346 ILA yang dilengkapi pelbagai fasiliti kursus telah mendaftar di bawah 1MTC.
1MTC adalah antara perkhidmatan gunasama teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi kerajaan yang merentasi agensi awam di bawah Strategi Lautan Biru Kebangsaan.
"Agensi kerajaan yang memerlukan tempat latihan atau fasiliti akan mendapatkan penjimatan dengan menggunakan kemudahan di ILA berbanding kos yang perlu ditanggung jika latihan tersebut atau tempahan fasiliti dilaksanakan di kemudahan swasta.
"Ini sekaligus dapat mengoptimumkan perkongsian sumber dan kemudahan yang ada di semua ILA yang sebelum ini kurang dimanfaatkan," katanya.
Lawatan itu turut disertai Ketua Pengarah Mampu Datuk Wira Omar Kaseh bersama 14 pegawai kanan dan kakitangan agensi di bawah Jabatan Perdana Menteri itu.
Katanya melalui portal www.1mtc.gov.my selain agensi kerajaan, orang awam juga dapat mengetahui dengan lebih cepat dan tepat maklumat mengenai fasiliti dan kursus yang ditawarkan oleh ILA seterusnya membuat tempahan sekiranya mereka berminat.
Terdahulu, Pengurus Besar Bernama Datuk Yong Soo Heong menyampaikan taklimat ringkas mengenai operasi Bernama kepada Entulu dan rombongannya diikuti dengan sesi lawatan di bilik berita utama Jabatan Pengarang, Radio24 Bernama dan BernamaTV.

Alfatihah for Ros...


Bernama journalist Rosyatimah Tukimin died early today after a long battle with cancer. She was 53.
Rosyatimah passed away at 1.35 am at the Putrajaya Hospital where she was being treated for pneumonia.
Her remains were buried at the Taman Raidhaul Jannah Muslim Cemetery in Kampung Sungai Limau Manis, Sungai Merab, Kajang, Selangor, at 10.30 am.
Rosyatimah leaves behind husband Muhammad Husni Mohd Jazri, 54, and two sons, Muhammad Ikhsan, 23, and Muhammad Ikhwan, 18.
After completing her studies in mass communication at the then Mara Institute of Technology (ITM), Rosyatimah joined The Star newspaper as a reporter on the features desk in 1985.
In 2002, she joined Bernama and worked as a sub-editor at the International Desk.
Bernama Deputy Editor-in-Chief (International News Service) Ahmad Zukiman Zain described the late Rosyatimah as a dedicated and hard-working colleague who was passionate about her work and family.
Massita Ahmad, assistant editor with the Bernama Economic News Service, in extending her condolences to the family, said: “Rosyatimah was a fighter and her smile and fighting spirit will always be missed.”

Thank you very much for being such a wonderful host! Our Northport CEO Tn Hj Abi Sofian and team were thrilled by the spectrum of wonderful people and the great task Bernama is shouldering to put Malaysia in the world map and also aggressively promoting her.
We were so pleased that we visited you and your team, who were all so kind, informative and extremely warm. It is our sincere hope that we can continue this synergy, through the various initiatives that would bring greater results for both Bernama and Northport.
As stated in our dialogue, on behalf of our CEO, we would like to extend our invitation to the senior members of Bernama team to visit our port and also savour our hospitality at a date and time convenient to your team.
